The First IMAX® movie about Islamic Civilization coming to Baltimore this weekend only!
Journey to Mecca: In the Footsteps of Ibn Battuta tells the epic story of Ibn Battuta, one of the greatest explorers of Islamic civilization, who leaves Morocco in 1325 and takes a famed journey 3,000 miles east to perform Hajj in the sacred city of Mecca. This big screen IMAX experience follows Ibn Battuta’s journey, zeroing in on the Hajj - the first and only time an IMAX camera has been admitted into the Grand Mosque in Mecca to capture an aerial view of the Hajj from a helicopter hovering 200 feet above Mecca.
